His wife Beatrice CHAVEZ (1879 to 1949) is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn, NM. Salome's brother was Senovio CHAVEZ of Vaughn. Senovio was the Sheriff of Vaughn at some point. Luz NIETO (CHAVEZ) had brothers named Marcus NIETO, Ed NIETO, and a sister named Julia NIETO. They left New Mexico in the early 1920's and settled in Denver, Colorado. I have tried to find info on these men for several years, with no success (records in Isaba were burned in a church fire). I want to know the common relative they share...making them cousins (they are not all brothers). The men are: Timoteo GARDE born on 24 March 1891 (acording to SSDI) and died in Vaughn, NM in Nov. 1976. He had a sheep ranch near Vaughn in the first half of the 20th century. Ildefonoso GARDE who emmigrated to America on Nov. 23, 1913 at the age of 21 with his brother Agapito, who was 16. Their destination was as Encino, NM...going to a cousin Ciriaco Esquer. Celestino GARDE was born in 1884 and died in 1954. He is buried at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bernallilo Co. (Albuquerque) along with his 2nd wife Georgette (b. 1893, d. 1977) and only son Javier E. Garde (b. 1914 Apr 19, d. 1972 Jul 5) who was a WWII veteran. Celestino had a large sheep ranch near Vaughn. George SENA moved from Lincoln County to Santa Rosa in about 1907 with
his wife, Teresa CARRILLO and their children Mela, Bessie, Zora,
Ignacio, Anna, Avie, and Jose. Teresa died in about 1915. George moved
to Santa Fe sometime between 1920 and 1922, but then returned to Santa
Rosa. He married for a second time to Tillie HENDERSON and had two more
children, Coronel George and Luis Pershing. According to his 1927
obituary in the Santa Rosa Spanish-language newspaper, George served as
county clerk, superintendent of schools, and prohibition enforcement
officer during his time of residency in Guadalupe County. The
English-language paper in Santa Rosa noted that schools and businesses
were closed for his funeral. I welcome any additional information on
the SENA and CARRILLO families, and am willing to share what information
