Sent: Friday, March 31, 2006 8:44 PM.  Subject: Guadalupe Query.   I am looking for some help... A friend of mine-a cross country trucker, stopped in NM for a breather and did a little treasure hunting along the side of the road on I 40.  He found a little tin cannister with a note written by a child named "Brownlow Tillman or TillmEn" from Los Tanos or Las Tanos NM(It is hard to read exactically because the note is old and worn and seems to be dated 1903 or 1908).   The can has a few childhood keepsakes but I thought Brownlow, if still living or his family might want this time capsule back.  It really is a neat find.  Do you have any suggestions or ideas??  Iam writting from Chicago.  Please forward any ideas or reasearch you can find!!   Thanks!  Monika Miller.

Sent: Sunday, September 04, 2005 4:19 PM.   Subject: Guadalupe Query.   I´m looking for the decendents of an oldtime Puerto de Luna resident, Román Dodge and his wife Calletana  Dodge.  They had several children between 1890 and 1910, including Román Dodge Jr. who died in 1980. I do not know if any of his decendants still live in Santa Rosa, but I am very  interested in the history of this family and would love to talk to the relatives.  Román Dodge the first was born in New Mexico in 1853.  I believe but cannot prove he was the son of Henry L.    Dodge of Wisconsin, who was an Indian Agent in New Mexico and lived at Seboyeta and Laguna up to his death in 1856.  I am doing a biography on the man.  Any information or suggestions  you might have would greatly assist!   Thanks,  Dean Sundberg ,   Colorado Springs, CO.

Sent: Saturday, September 24, 2005 10:32 PM.   Subject: Gonzales Family.    I have been researching my fathers family for about 3 years and hit the same brick wall where ever I go.    I am June Margaret (Gonzales) Beard, 6/30/33.     My father was Frank Gonzales born in Sunnyside,NM in 1908, died in 1978 and buried in Melrose, NM.   His father was Rumaldo Gonzales, born in abt 1876 in Puerto De Luna, NM and died in abt 1925 and buried in Billy the Kid cemetery in Ft Sumner, NM. His Mother was Juanita Segura. She was born in 1884 in Guadalupe County and was christened in San Jose Church in Anton Chico, NM and died in 1940 in Ft Sumner and is buried by her husband. They had 12 Kids. Rumaldo's father was Jose Gonzales born in1847 in NM, no death date or place. He married Maria Apolonia Encinias  born in 1856 in Santa Fe, NM and died in 1920 and both buried in Ft Sumner, NM. They married in 1874 in Galisteo, Puerto De Luna, NM. They had 3 kids, Rumaldo, Margarita and Piedad. Margarita married Celestino Sandoval, 1899 in Ft Sumner, NM and she died in 1950 and buried in Ft Sumner, NM.    Jose's father was Jose Manuel Gonzales and he married Gertrudes Garcia, no dates.   A cousin of mine gave me a lot of this info and I have no proof of its accuracy.  This is all I have and I hope you can break down the brick wall for me I thank you in advance what ever the outcome. Let me know if you need anymore info. Thanks, June Beard.

This family is on the 1900 Guadalupe Census (Louis is not on census may have died as a child). Family is listed in Torrance Co. in 1910. A fourth child, James C. is four in 1910.
